19th November will see the official release of the new Statski album, MAp 20,  which is a companion to Statski’s earlier album NoDe 17. Both feature the distinctive sounds of the SOMA Lyra 8 synthesiser.

The pieces on NoDe 17 were described as personal meditations in a time of crisis, so It is hard not to hear the sounds on MAp 20 as being a conscious or subconscious reflection upon the wider global events of the spring of 2020, when these tracks were originally recorded.

MAp 20 is the first new release for the LR2 label since the final of 4 eps from North Loop came out at the start of the year. In the meantime the label has been busy diversifying into the world of publishing and gathering together material for an exciting new series of releases set to drop in 2022.
